“The Gardens”
Columbarium & Memorial Book
At Mount Garibaldi Cemetery, Squamish, B.C.
Squamish Funeral Chapel & Crematorium along with the District of Squamish have come together to meet the needs of families who want to inter two urns into one niche (ie. mom & dad) or a single urn into one niche in a above ground setting.
The above above ground interment in a setting that is quiet, peaceful and elegant and allows families to see, touch and place a flower in the vase on the bronze memorial containing the ashes of their loved one. It brings dignity and respect while creating ceremony to a life lived.
Families who choose to scatter ashes are able to leave a legacy by having their name, birth date and date of passing inscribed in Granite Memorial Book which is located in the centre of "The Gardens" setting.

The curvilinear lines are welcoming and relaxing and provides privacy for the family. This plan has five stages of growth and shows future development which allows for gardens and bench locations.
What is a Columbarium?
A columbarium is a final above ground resting place for cremated remains. Urns are placed into a 12” x 12” x 15” Mountain Rose Granite vault and each vault has an exterior granite face, to place a bronze memorial marker.
What is a Memorial Book?
A Memorial Book is a granite shaped book which gives families the option of inscribing their loved ones name, birth date and date of passing on a 3” x 4” solid cast bronze plaque which is then attached to the Granite Book.
The Setting:
Located at Mount Garibaldi Cemetery on the east side of the existing gardens with a view of the sky and mountains that is quiet, peaceful and elegant. It brings dignity and respect while creating ceremony of a life lived.
The Cost:
Range from $2100.00 to $2350.00 per niche. One niche can accommodate two single urns or a companion urn.
Note: See Cost Comparison
It is an attractive feature for families, that one niche size can easily accommodate two single urns or a companion urn. For the cemetery the result is better density per acre and expands the life span of the cemetery.
