Dot passed away peacefully in Squamish General Hospital on July 27th, 2017. Born and raised in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, she was predeceased by her husband Bill (2005), her parents Alfred and Winifred Turner, and her brother Gaff. She is survived by her brothers Bill and Bob, son Barry (Jan), daughter Jill (Marty), grandchildren Billy, Celeste (Steve), Jody (Pete), Paul (Leigh), Jenna (Zac) and Jeremy (Raelene), as well as 7 great grandchildren.
Dot spent her early life in Saskatchewan where she was active in track, basketball and softball. In 1942, she moved to Vancouver where she worked at Boeing and met her husband Bill. They lived in South Vancouver for 18 years, raising their family, before moving to Squamish and settling on Kaloden Street where Dot remained until a year before her death. Dot was active in the Squamish Golf Club, the Royal Canadian Legion and the St. John’s Anglican Church. She will be missed by all who knew her.

There will be a Celebration of Life at St. John’s Anglican Church in Squamish on Friday, August 18th at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hilltop House, Squamish.
